Storybook

This project required that I really put some of the skills gained in this semester to use. I created the animals and tree all with the pen tool, either free-hand or tracing. I then created textures for the sky and ground with my own photographs at low opacity. I was not as confident about this project as some of the previous ones, and felt that I simply did not have the skills to do what I imagined. This whole project still looks so simple to me, and I spent so much of my time on it. I have certainly gained a new appreciation for children's books now. Here are some of my favorite pages, as well as a link to the full book.

I really enjoy the title page of my book, because I wrote his name freehand using the paintbrush tool.
